Refund and Returns Policy

Thank you for shopping with IrieMart Pimento Wood. Please read this policy carefully before placing your order.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.


Return Window

Customers have 7 days from the confirmed delivery date to request a return.

To request a return, you must contact us first at:

IrieMartJamaicanGrocery@gmail.com

Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.


Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return:

  • Item must be unused
  • Item must be unopened
  • Item must be in original packaging
  • Item must be in resellable condition
  • Proof of delivery must be provided

We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not meet these conditions.


Return Shipping Costs

  • Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable
  • We are not responsible for lost or damaged return shipments

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service.


Customs Duties & Refused Shipments

Customers are fully responsible for:

  • Customs duties
  • Import taxes
  • Clearance fees

If a customer refuses to pay customs charges and the shipment is returned to us:

  • A 30% reshelving fee will be deducted from the item cost
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable
  • Any return shipping fees charged to us will be deducted
  • Any customs penalties charged to us will also be deducted

Refunds are only processed after the returned item is received and inspected.


Lost in Transit

If a shipment is confirmed lost in transit and has not been delivered within 45 days (1.5 months) from the shipping date:

  • We may issue a refund or
  • Offer a replacement shipment

Resolution will be determined based on tracking information and case review.


Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect:

You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

  • Clear photos of the item
  • Photos of the outer packaging
  • Order number

Failure to report within 48 hours may result in claim denial.

We may offer reshipment or refund depending on the situation.


Exchanges

Exchanges may be offered at our discretion depending on product condition and availability.


Order Cancellations

Orders cannot be canceled once they have been shipped.

If you need to cancel, contact us immediately. We cannot guarantee cancellation once processing begins.


Address Accuracy Clause

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

We are not responsible for:

  • Incorrect addresses entered by the customer
  • Failed delivery attempts
  • Packages returned due to incorrect or incomplete address

If a package is returned due to address error, reshipping costs must be paid by the customer.


Natural Product Clause

Our pimento wood is a natural product.

Due to the natural characteristics of wood:

  • Color may vary
  • Shape and size may vary
  • Texture may vary

These natural variations do not qualify as defects.


Non-Refundable Situations

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Delays caused by customs
  • Customs clearance issues
  • Refused packages
  • Opened or used products
  • Delivery delays outside our control
  • Shipping carrier delays

Refund Processing

Once a return is received and inspected:

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method
  • Processing time depends on the payment provider


Product Use Disclaimer

Our pimento wood is sold in small culinary-use quantities for cooking and smoking purposes.

By purchasing, you acknowledge:

  • You are responsible for complying with your country’s import regulations
  • We are not liable for customs restrictions or import refusals
